  • Vatta or Vata Dosha: Energy that controls bodily functions associated with motion, inlcuding blood circulation, breathing, blinking, any heartbeat.

    • Characteristics:

      • Quick to learn

      • Quick to forget

      • Slender

      • Tall

      • Act on impulse

      • Dry Skin/ Dry hair

    • Food

      • Cooked Food

      • Warm Food

      • No Icy Stuff

      • Warming spices

        • Cinnamin, clove, ginger

    • Out of Balance: Fear/Anxiety

  • Pitta Dosha: the body's metabolic system, digestion, absorption, nutrition, and your body's temperature.

    • Characterstics

      • Medium Build

      • Strong

      • Sharp Mind

      • Good Concentration

      • Focused

      • Self-Confident

      • Aggressive

      • Not good with heat

      • Pushy

      • Competitive

      • Romantic

      • Strong Digestion

      • Strong Appetite

      • Fair Skin

    • Avoid: Direct exposure to sunlight

      • Spicy fried food

      • Overeating and working

    • Out of balance: Ulcers / Anger

  • Kapha Dosha: Growth in the body. Supplies water to all parts, moisturizes the skin, maintains the immune system.

    • Characteristics:

      • Crave Spicey

      • Easy Going

      • Relaxed

      • Forgiving

      • Stable

      • Strong

      • Heavier

      • Slow to learn

      • Large Eyes

      • Does not like cold or damp weather

      • Overweight

      • Prones to be more slugglish in energy

      • Needs to be active

    • Avoid

      • Oil & Processed Sugar
